What is the ruling on wiping over the qalansuwa? And is it established from the Salaf that they wiped over it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Yes.
Al-Halabi : He saysThe questioner : Did it become authentic from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, Anas ibn Malik, and Abu Musa al-Ash'ari that they wiped over the qalansuwa, as Ibn Qudamah transmitted? And if it is authentic, is it permissible to wipe over it?

The Shaykh : I do not know if that is authentic from them. In my opinion, the Sunnah established wiping over the turban. As for wiping over the qalansuwa, there is no text from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding it on one hand, and on the other hand, there is no harm in a person wiping in this manner and removing the turban from his head. However, this small cap might involve some difficulty. It is permissible to wipe over it first in following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and secondly in consideration of this reasoning. As for the qalansuwa, there is no Sunnah regarding it and no successful reasoning. This is my opinion.
