The extent of the impact of the apparent on the hidden.

AndThe Shaykh : Many people do not pay attention, and some may not know at all the impact of the apparent on the hidden. They may not realize that outward matters have the greatest influence on the hidden hearts concealed in the breasts, whether these outward matters are good and righteous, or false and evil. Both types affect the heart: if good, then good; if evil, then evil. This is a legal reality before it becomes a scientific psychological reality, because Islam preceded all the sciences that may, in the short or long term, reach truths that people were unaware of. Islam preceded them to these truths by years and by many days. I say that the impact of the apparent on the hidden is a legal scientific reality before it becomes an empirical scientific reality. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) strove with the utmost effort to instill this reality in the hearts of his followers on various occasions. He (peace be upon him) used to say, as you may sometimes hear this noble Prophetic guidance from some mosque imams who are concerned with following the Sunnah of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). You hear from some of them when they stand for prayer; they do not begin the prayer immediately after the mu'adhdhin finishes the iqamah. Instead, they say Allahu Akbar, as the ignorant do, and as those imams do who do not care about reviving the Sunnah and spreading it among the Ummah. Rather, some of those who are eager to follow the Sunnah do what we hinted at earlier: when they stand in the place where they pray—and I do not say in the mihrab, because if I said that the imam stands in the mihrab, I would be endorsing the mihrab, which is a religious innovation in mosques. There was no mihrab in the mosque of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), nor in the mosques that existed in his time (peace and blessings be upon him). When the imam stands in the imam's place, he does not begin the prayer with the takbir of ihram. Instead, he turns to the right and left and orders them to straighten the rows. He says to them what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say to his Companions: , or—and here is the point—Sunan Ibn Majah 994Sahih (Darussalam), and in a narration . The point here is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) linked straightening the rows—which is an outward, physical action—to either the agreement of hearts, if the straightening is achieved, or the disagreement of hearts, if the rows are disordered and straightening is not achieved. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Abi Dawud 663Sahih (Al-Albani). Thus, there is a link between the apparent and the hidden, which is the hearts. The link was in both cases: the straightening of the rows or the neglect of this straightening. He (peace and blessings be upon him) threatened those who do not straighten the rows and leave them disordered, some ahead and some behind, by stating that this is a legal means to disorder in the hearts and disagreement among them. He pointed to this reality with an important Prophetic phrase when he said in the famous hadith, which is in the two Sahihs, in al-Bukhari and Muslim, from the hadith of al-Nu'man ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with both of them), the son and the father, both Companions. Al-Nu'man was a Companion and his father Bashir was a Companion. Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: . He (peace be upon him) said in the completion of this hadith, which is the point: Sahih al-Bukhari 52. You see with me that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) linked the rectitude of the heart to the rectitude of the body. We must know that this rectitude mentioned in the hadith here is not material or medical rectitude, even if it is so medically. But he (peace be upon him) here intended rectitude, if we may use the term, spiritual, moral, and faith-based rectitude Sahih al-Bukhari 52, meaning that the actions of the body issuing from it are all righteous. And if this morsel becomes corrupt, the actions of the entire body become corrupt. What is it? He (peace be upon him) said: . Thus, this confirms that the apparents are linked to the hidden. However righteous the heart is, what issues from the body of this righteous heart is righteous, and the opposite is exactly the opposite Sahih al-Bukhari 52. Therefore, and the research on this is long and very long, Muslims should not be deceived by the statement of some who say that the criterion is what is in the heart, to mislead people. We say with them that the criterion is what is in the heart, but we add to them: it is not possible for what is in the heart to be righteous and for what appears from the body to be corrupt, and the opposite is the opposite. It is not possible for what is in the heart to be corrupt and for what appears from the body to be righteous. This is not sound and is absolutely incorrect. It is like the relationship between the heart and the body from a medical perspective: if the heart is sound, the body cannot be sick, and the opposite is the opposite. If the heart is sick from a medical perspective, the body cannot be sound. It is a consistent matter, negative and positive, medically and physically, and prophetically. So those who, when ordered to perform the prayers or to maintain them, say to you, "Brother, the matter is not about the prayer, the matter is about what is in the heart," we say: You are correct, the matter is about what is in the heart. But if what is in the heart is correct and sound faith, this heart will overflow with righteousness, obedience, and worship. Otherwise, the matter is exactly the opposite. And the matter is as it was said:
"This difference between us is sufficient, and every vessel emits what is in it."
If this vessel that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) placed in the chest with great care and wisdom is sound and healthy, there is no doubt that it will overflow with soundness and health, and the opposite is the opposite. I said that this research has a long tail, so I will suffice with this much to direct attention to the fact that closeness in the circles of dhikr and knowledge is a desirable and prescribed matter, and the distancing of some of the sitters from others is, as you heard, from the work of Satan. Come closer as much as you can.
Straighten your rows
سووا صفوفكمAllah will create division among you
ليخالفن الله بين وجوهكمbetween your hearts
بين قلوبكمDo not be irregular
لتسوون صفوفكم أو ليخالفن الله بين وجوهكمVerily, the lawful is clear, and the unlawful is clear, and between them are matters of doubt about which many people do not know. So whoever guards against the doubtful matters has safeguarded his religion and his honor. And verily, every king has a protected area, and verily, the protected area of Allah is His prohibitions. And whoever encroaches upon the protected area is likely to fall into it.
Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.
ألا وإن في الجسد مضغة إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله وإذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله ألا وهي القلبThere is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good
ألا وإن في الجسد مضغة ، إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كلهAnd it is the heart
ألا وهي القلبBeware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart.
