We sacrificed a four-year-old camel when we performed Hajj this year, and we forgot the required age. Do we owe anything?

The questioner : Praise be to Allah, and I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), with abundant peace. These are some questions for our blessed Shaykh. We ask Allah the Exalted to open for him with answers that benefit us and benefit the Muslims.
The first question: When we performed Hajj this year, we sacrificed a camel, but it was four years old, and we forgot the required age for a camel. Are we required to slaughter or sacrifice a new one, or is what we slaughtered sufficient given our ignorance or forgetfulness?

The Shaykh : What you did is sufficient. What you did is sufficient, as long as you were not intentional. Yes.
