Explaining the Misguidance of the Book *Al-Haqq al-Damigh* and the Disbelief Contained in It

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : I had a book here that I was reading?

The questioner: No.

The Shaykh : Look, are you reading it?

The questioner : No

The Shaykh : Even this is in large print, "Al-Haqq al-Damigh." Look at this name? The author of *Al-Haqq al-Damigh* is an Ibadi. An Ibadi means a Khariji from the Khawarij, and he defends the doctrine of the Khawarij with all his might. But oh Allah, show us the truth as truth and grant us the ability to follow it.

The questioner : Amen.

The Shaykh : And show us falsehood as falsehood and grant us the ability to avoid it. He deals with several topics here, among which is that the Ibadis, who are Khawarij, deny the greatest blessing that Allah bestows upon His servants in Paradise: seeing Him, Blessed and Exalted is He. Even when they see Him, they forget the bliss of Paradise. Allah the Exalted said:
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,
[Al-Qiyamah 75:22]
, radiant with radiance,
gazing at their Lord.
. Look, how do they interpret this for you, and these are Muslims, so what do you want to say about the disbelievers? They said, "To her Lord is her gaze," meaning she is waiting.

The questioner : What is it? Waiting?

The Shaykh : Waiting where?
gazing at their Lord.
and where is she waiting? Do you see?

The questioner : I thought that the book you wanted to give me was one I had written.

The Shaykh : No, what I want to give you is not one book, but several books. No, I have not yet finished with the lesson.
(22) [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, (23) Looking at their Lord.
[Al-Qiyamah 75:22-23]
, how did they interpret it?

The questioner : Waiting.

The Shaykh : Waiting. These are Muslims, but they are astray from the Sunnah. The point is not yet complete. They said they argue with a hadith. What is the hadith? They said,
When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, their Lord, Blessed and Exalted is He, calls out to them: "O My servants, shall I add anything to you?" They said, "O our Lord, what would You add to us? You have admitted us to Paradise and bestowed blessings upon us." He said, "No, I have an addition, which is that I will show you My Face." So the veil is lifted and they see Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He.
. What did this wretched author of this book do with the hadith? He said, first, this hadith is an ahad hadith. Have you heard this philosophy?

The questioner : I have heard from you that there are ahad hadiths.

The Shaykh : Yes, exactly.

The questioner : And I have heard of a strange hadith and such things.

The Shaykh : But I have not heard from you that we reject some authentic hadiths and accept others. We accept all of them. But for the Khawarij and the Shi'ah, a hadith, even if it is authentic, is rejected if it is ahad, meaning not mutawatir.

The questioner : If it contradicts the opinion.

The Shaykh : Yes, so they said this is an ahad hadith. First of all, and secondly, they said it contradicts the Qur'an. Now, how does it contradict the Qur'an? The Qur'an says,
You will not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it should remain in place, then you will see Me.
[Al-A'raf 7:143]
. The beginning of that verse indicates that it is in the Hereafter, whereas this is in this world. So when the hadith speaks of the Hereafter, he struck it with his wrong understanding of the verse and rejected the authentic hadith. And thus the Ummah has been fought for more than a thousand years, not only by enemies, but also by friends, by the Muslims themselves. Why? Because desires differ. Desires that make some people disbelievers, who do not acknowledge the Lord or the Prophet (peace be upon him), and some of them believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in part. Therefore, I conclude my speech as Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said,
Follow
, and I have heard it from me repeatedly,
Follow and do not innovate, for you have been sufficed with the old matter.
. Stick to the old matter, O Abu Sulayman. Do not listen to your Russian son.

The questioner : May Allah keep us firm.

The Shaykh : Yes, this one came infected. Give him a piece of your mind. You want to build a fortress between you and him, because he carries the ideas of Lenin and Stalin. And he is still arguing with you, having no knowledge of the Book or the Sunnah. He has knowledge of the doubts they taught him. Do not listen to him until you catch up with us, if Allah wills, and beware of death while we are on the old covenant.

The questioner : If Allah wills.
