Is the hair that grows on the cheeks considered part of the beard?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the beard, O our Shaykh, what is the cheek?

The Shaykh : Yes, the cheek. The hair that grows on the cheeks is part of the beard linguistically. Linguistically, the hair that grows on the cheeks is not permissible to touch with harm; it is not permissible to shave it. And they make a straight line like this; this is also from playing and fooling around. Because in *al-Qamus al-Muhit* by al-Fayruzabadi, it is stated that the hair growing on the cheeks, meaning the cheeks, is part of the beard. Therefore, it is not permissible to remove this hair here. Even if Allah the Mighty and Majestic created a man with thick hair, we must note this benefit, for unfortunately, most people do not know it.
The benefit is that we remember that no matter how much apparent difference we see in people's faces, in the creation of people, we only remember the saying of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He:
You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency ما ترى في خلق الرحمان من تفاوت
[Al-Mulk 67:3]
This does not mean that the difference which comes to the mind of some, that this one is dark-skinned, and this one is white, and this one is blond, and that one is black, this one is tall and this one is short, and that one is in between, is a tangible difference, but it means
You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency ما ترى في خلق الرحمان من تفاوت
[Al-Mulk 67:3]
which contradicts the divine wisdom. Therefore, it is not permissible for one created smooth, one created smooth meaning smooth-skinned, meaning

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : No, smooth, smooth, beardless. This is the *kusuj*, meaning like a woman, no hair grows on him. It is not permissible for him to change the creation of Allah by taking a beard in the style of the English lords, like a wig, for example. How is the wig now? Every day the woman adorns herself with a type of hair that she does not like the creation of Allah. Perhaps, perhaps her hair is jet black and she does not like it, or she likes it at some times, so she appears with the creation of Allah. At other times, she takes a golden wig that shines, etc.
All of this is evidence of not being satisfied with the creation of Allah, of not being pleased with the decree of Allah the Mighty and Majestic in the creation of Allah. Therefore, the severe warning came for whoever changes the creation of Allah. Why?
The scholars say, the language of reality, O our brothers, the language of reality is more eloquent than the language of speech. I cannot understand that a rational person, and not only rational but also a Muslim who believes that Allah the Mighty and Majestic is Wise and All-Knowing, when He created Zayd as a male and created Zaynab as a female, would say this is a natural anomaly. Because this is a Muslim who believes that this is the creation of Allah, as Allah said in the Qur'an:
This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created هذا خلق الله فأروني ماذا خلق الذين من دونه
[Luqman 31:11]
Nothing, a fly, none of the gods worshipped besides Allah the Mighty and Majestic can create a fly.
Therefore
This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created هذا خلق الله فأروني ماذا خلق الذين من دونه
[Luqman 31:11]
So the creation of Zayd as a male and Zaynab as a female does not occur to the mind of a Muslim. It may occur to the mind of a disbeliever who says, why did He create me a man instead of marrying? I will marry, and this has happened as we have been informed about some Arab countries, or a woman who tries to transform herself into a male. This is a practical evidence that this or that one was not pleased with the creation of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He. As for the Muslim, I do not think...

The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
...that he would say, why did my Lord create me a male and not a female? Do you agree with me that it is impossible for a Muslim to say in his heart at least: why did our Lord create me a male and not a female? Or the opposite, a woman who is a Muslim and truly believes in Allah and His Messenger says, why did He create me a female and not a male? I do not think this exists among Muslims, no matter how far they go in their misguidance. But look now, is there not among men one who says, why did our Lord create a beard for me? I answer you: as for saying with his tongue, as I am saying now, why did Allah create the beard for me...
