Refuting the Lie of the Sanctity of the Rock of the Temple Mount

The Shaykh : We want to mention the image of the Rock that is widespread among our Palestinian brothers, especially because it is common in many Arab countries that the Rock mentioned in Al-Aqsa Mosque has sanctity and a special merit. This has no truth in the Shari'ah whatsoever. It is regrettable that this alleged sanctity of the Rock in Al-Aqsa Mosque is exploited politically, with rulers demonstrating and competing to repair it, renovate its building, and do similar things, as if this Rock were the Sacred Mosque. It is our duty to remind people, for the reminder benefits the believers, that this Rock has no value except the value that Allah created for every mountain on earth, which is naturally a common and general matter.
