The Errors and Catastrophes of al-Turabi and al-Qadhafi.

The Shaykh : What is the government?

The questioner : The government that is there now; on its surface, they speak the words of the Salafi brothers, and on its surface, they call to Islam, but in reality, their thought is... they are breakaway members... from the Muslim Brotherhood, and their thought, glory be to Allah, is strange, involving destruction. And especially now, it is not the case that the one ruling is by consensus on this matter among the Salafi brothers. There is a consensus that the one ruling is not al-Bashir, but al-Turabi! If you ask anyone who is ruling, he will tell you it is al-Turabi; al-Bashir is a poor thing. So, is it really observed from the speech, even in their newspapers—I read them a lot—that it is al-Turabi, al-Turabi? The point is, Shaykh, that now the government has a female minister and has... Christians.

The Shaykh : In the government?

The questioner : It has Christians, and the governor of this city...The Shaykh: Also

The questioner : Also, there are Christians ruling over the Muslims. This is one thing. From this, they have nullified the issue of jihad; they feared it. The Ansar al-Sunnah group built mosques, but when the government came, it took them from them!

The Shaykh : Who built them?

The questioner : The Ansar al-Sunnah Association built them.

The Shaykh : The state confiscated them.

The questioner : It confiscated them, saying that they were not licensed for it, and the government takes them for the endowments. Some of the mosques were handed over to the Sufis, and the Sufis requested to hold their rituals, so they built domes for them. And this means... following...

Another questioner : As long as the Muslim Brotherhood is behind them.

The questioner : The Shaykh : Hassan al-Turabi, they say, has strange ideas. I looked at some of his speech. Of course, I did not like to take the words of the students, so I went to some of the teaching professors whom you... I sat with them, in fact... Hassan al-Turabi belongs to the rationalist school. How did he respond to the hadith of the fly? He said it contradicts reason! Ibn Abbas lies!

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah.

The questioner : About the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said this in the same wording. I mean, I took this report from more than ten people whom I asked about al-Turabi specifically on this point; they all agreed on it. They said, word for word, that Hassan al-Turabi says that any hadith or any report must be presented to reason; if it agrees, we accept and take it, and if not, we reject it. He was the cause of his war against the Salafi group there. The man has an amazing amount of intelligence; he is eloquent! Now, when some of the Shaykhs sit with them, they do not allow writing or recording. He speaks and responds to you, and he attacks the Companions and attacks... then... he conceals...

The Shaykh : Did you meet him?

The questioner : With al-Turabi? No, I did not meet him.

The Shaykh : He has a dangerous book on women, meaning, really.

The questioner : On free mixing. He also spoke about permitting free mixing.

The Shaykh : Do you know of any other books of his?

The questioner : By Allah, Shaykh, the period was short, but I tried to gather as much information as possible so that the picture would be clear, meaning... They say this is a state, meaning a state that calls to... and especially now, the newspapers, Shaykh, I was surprised by the position. You observe that all the newspapers have talk of democracy, trying to show from the speech that Islam is democracy... or that democracy is... some say it is a system of disbelief, not absolutely, so Islam has promotion, meaning speech that is not like this, a single sound, but you feel that...

The questioner : No, I did not meet him personally. I went to his house, so he is now in Saudi Arabia. The Shaykh : And is he aware and well-cultured?

For example, they say it is an Islamic state, but you walk in the markets, what did the Arabs do... meaning, they supported the decision until the decision was issued by al-Bashir, this being the imposition of hijab or... al-Turabi flattered him, saying this needs... and you are walking in the markets, you see nakedness, you see open sinfulness, you see the university is mixed, you see singing at the highest volume from the cafes and such, and the interest-based banks and public auctions and such, and everything that is contrary to custom... you walk in the streets except that you do not find houses of zina and houses of intoxicants.

The Shaykh : Allah knows best. He will follow the path of al-Qadhafi.

The questioner : Yes, by Allah, I said it to him.

The Shaykh : He appeared in the guise of prohibiting intoxicants and imposing a Sharia garment on women, and so on, and then all of this went to waste.

The questioner : In Libya, al-Qadhafi, until now, some people who commit zina are flogged; the hudud punishment is carried out, flogging... they show some pictures to the common people of how they are flogged... the telephone, the hudud will be carried out on every criminal... in front of the police, he said so-and-so committed zina!

The Shaykh : Is it propaganda, meaning?

Another questioner : And in contrast, he denies the Sunnah...

The questioner : Oh Shaykh, he even denies the Qur'an now...

Another questioner : And he comes out with the Green Book to rival the Qur'an.

The Shaykh: Allahu Akbar.

The questioner : ... Now, this Green Book, may Allah protect us, from the year... before Fajr... the Great Arab Voice now recites the Qur'an, for example. Democracy is... his speech is organized and his delivery is: "Democracy is the solution for man..." the delivery of the Qur'an, then with readers, every time he brings a person... now, part by part, they complete a recitation and start a new recitation with a second reader.

The Shaykh : Allahu Akbar.

The questioner : Recitations like the Noble Qur'an... He said in the tongue of this book, it is better than the Gospel and better than the Torah and equals the Qur'an, meaning it is an explanation of the Qur'an!
