Is it permissible to rule that a weak hadith is authentic or good on the grounds that reality bears witness to it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to rule that a hadith with a weak chain of narration is authentic or good on the grounds that reality bears witness to this hadith and strengthens it?

The Shaykh : On the grounds?

The questioner : That reality bears witness to this hadith and strengthens it.

The Shaykh : No, we do not see this as correct, because many hadiths may have been issued by some scholars out of their wisdom or intuition. The principle is that it is not permissible to attribute to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) anything except what is established by the method of the people of hadith as having been said by him, and not merely because its meaning is correct. We know that the followers of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) are inspired to speak with judgment and correct knowledge. If a narrator makes a mistake and attributes one of those judgments to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), even if it matches what will come from the future, it is possible that this was their intuition and the Messenger (peace be upon him) did not speak of it. Therefore, it is not permissible to authenticate a hadith whose attribution to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not established on the grounds that reality bears witness to it, because this reality can be predicted by some wise people, some intelligent people, or some scholars. This is my answer to this question.
