Is one who denies the resurrection and the existence of the Lord considered a Christian, even if he claims to be one?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : That is, if a Christian is found here who denies the resurrection or denies the existence of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), does this ruling apply to him?

The Shaykh : No. This person has exited the religion of the Christians.

The questioner : And he claims affiliation with Christianity.

The Shaykh : Yes, he claims affiliation, but what does affiliation mean? It does not mean that he does not profess Christianity; rather, he may neglect much of the true Christianity brought by Isa (peace be upon him). However, if he denies Christianity in its entirety and in detail, he is undoubtedly worse than the Muslim who has apostatized from his religion, and it does not benefit him to be called Ahmad ibn Muhammad!
