Speaking about jihad in the path of Allah now.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So, are we, as a Muslim community, ready for jihad in the path of Allah?

The questioner : As a community, we are not ready.

The Shaykh : We are now returning to agree, just as we agreed...

The questioner : But there is something else.

The Shaykh : Be patient, may Allah guide you.
Abu Malik : ... for the community, meaning there are individuals who are ready.

The questioner : No, no, there is a very important matter in reality,

The Shaykh : I will tell you, O Shaykh Ali
Khushan : What is the reason that we are not ready? What is the reason?

The Shaykh : The word is mine, please,
Khushan : Please go ahead.

The Shaykh : We, as a community, are not ready for jihad in the path of Allah, and based on what we agreed upon earlier, it is not permissible for us, as a community, to wage jihad in the path of Allah now; because we are not ready. Leave that aside, but this does not mean that it is not permissible, nor does it mean that it is not obligatory for us to adopt all means of preparation to face the enemies of Allah, whether they are internal, as he said, or external, right or not?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Okay, what is the disagreement in the matter?

The questioner : The matter is that those who are preventing the community from jihad now remain in the matter, meaning the community cannot wage jihad not because it does not possess the means of jihad; the means of jihad exist.

The Shaykh : My brother, what does my statement mean? We must adopt all means, what does my statement mean?

The questioner : Okay, that is it, we must adopt all means.

The Shaykh : We agreed that there is no disagreement.

The questioner : Okay, adopting these means is an explanation, meaning the ruling of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) in this jihad, and that those who stand in the way of the community in jihad in the path of Allah must be exposed, and their reality clarified, and jihaded with the word, even if that leads to our killing, meaning when I say that this is the action of the hypocrites in that they do not want to fight the disbelievers, this, even if it leads to my killing, it cannot be said that I threw myself into destruction; because it is a word of justice before a tyrannical ruler.

The Shaykh : Also, it is not a matter of disagreement,
a word of truth spoken before an unjust rulers كلمة حق عند سلطان جائر
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4209Hasan (Darussalam)
there is no obstacle, but do you think that the community, or the people in whom you live, have no remaining field for jihad? As you said earlier, I wage jihad with myself from the aspect of enjoining good and forbidding evil, and so on. Do you think the community, or any people among whom you live, their problem now is that they do not know that these disbelievers must be jihaded or fought, or or, and so on? Or is the problem more severe than that in your belief?

The questioner : No; it is more severe.

The Shaykh : Okay, then why do we occupy ourselves with a difficult matter, and leave what is more severe? This is the reality of the Muslim Brotherhood, and our brothers here are also singing around one aspect of that. Now, they have drawn the attention of the youth to the situation of these rulers, to the fact that they deserve to be fought or jihaded, and so on. And we are unable to do anything as a result of that. What we saw in the Holy Mosque in Makkah, what we saw in Egypt, what we seen in Syria, what we saw recently in Algeria, these are the effects of these previous writings that were out of time. No one says this is not obligatory. My brother, yes.
Abu Layla : In any case, we... meaning as he says... time may be wasted. I will hurry tomorrow in implementing these things and I will give you to listen to it, and if there are notes, we will make them, and now what do you want, something new in this book? ...
