Abu Malik: Praise is to Allah; we praise Him, seek His forgiveness, and seek His help. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and the badness of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whoever He leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. As for what follows, the truest speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their innovations. Every innovation is a religious innovation, every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. It is not for me to add to the words of our Shaykh (may Allah preserve him and support him with a spirit from Himself, bestow upon Him apparent and hidden blessings, keep Him alive, and prolong his life as a treasure in which Muslims take delight in knowledge, religion, upbringing, and character). However, if I say or speak of something, and speech and talk, as they say, have many threads, we have no right to add anything to the words of our Shaykh, for he has fulfilled it to the utmost and brought it to its conclusion, and he has turned his thought in it with a breadth and depth that leaves no room for someone like me to speak in such a position. May Allah reward him with good. But I say, in confirmation and reminder, and also to alert many people who may have certain assumptions about people like us: I say that this speech, or this answer to the question of our brother Ibrahim al-Hashimi (may Allah reward him with good), has benefited—I do not say a specific group of Muslims, but it will remain a benefit that shines as light, walks as conduct and movement, and sparkles in the horizons of the world as a methodology and a call. This righteous, great speech clarified the path of the Muslim community. I do not mean by the Muslim community here a small group of people, but I mean by the Muslim community everyone who says, with sincerity, truth, following, upbringing, and belief, "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." And although this is few among people today, it will bear good fruits, if Allah wills, and the Ummah will gather and agree upon it, even if time is long and suspicion or certainty is distant. And from here I say that this great answer we heard confirms to us, with a confirmation that leaves no doubt, no uncertainty, and no suspicion, that we, praise be to Allah, have known the truth and followed it, and we sought the true faith and believed in it. We knew the falsehood and avoided it, and we took refuge in the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and we won, and in the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and we distanced ourselves from everything that is falsehood, deviation, or misguidance. And I do not think except that we are all, in this gathering that includes us now and in other gatherings we are accustomed to, where we take much knowledge from our Shaykh, confirming to the entire world every day that the methodology of truth cannot but bear its fruits and yield its produce. And I do not say that the fruits of this methodology or its produce come through greed for a matter in which many groups and parties have coveted, but rather I say it comes through the truth that our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought to the world.
