What is the ruling on a woman taking birth control pills when her husband is not willing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : And this is another questioner who says: What is the ruling on a woman taking birth control pills when her husband is not willing? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : It is forbidden for a woman to use birth control pills when her husband is not willing, because the child is a right of the husband and the wife.
For this reason, the scholars said: It is forbidden for a man to practice coitus interruptus with his wife without her consent. By "coitus interruptus," it is meant that when he has intercourse with her and approaches ejaculation, he withdraws from the intercourse and ejaculates outside so that she does not become pregnant. The scholars of knowledge said: This act is forbidden except with the wife's consent, because she has a right to the child. Likewise, if she wants to prevent pregnancy, it is not permissible for her to do so except with the husband's consent.
But say: If both spouses consent to taking birth control pills, is this permissible?
The answer: It is permissible because it is similar to coitus interruptus, which the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) used to practice. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
We practiced Azl while the Qur'an was being revealed. كنا نعزل والقرآن ينزل
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1137Sahih (Darussalam)
Meaning: If it were something to be forbidden, the Qur'an would have forbidden it. But with this, we say: It is not recommended to do it, meaning it is not recommended to use birth control pills even if both spouses consent, because that is contrary to what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wants for this Ummah. What does he want for this Ummah?
The student: Multiplication.

The Shaykh : Multiplying the number of children. If people use what prevents pregnancy, this becomes a contradiction of what the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) loves.
And I tell you: The origin of these pills was from the Jews and others among the enemies of the Muslims, because they do not want the offspring of the Muslims to increase. They want the offspring of the Muslims to be restricted and limited so that the Islamic Ummah remains in need of others, and so that its resources do not increase, and so that its areas of work do not increase. Because the fewer the number, the less the production, and the more the number, the more the production. This is in agriculture, this is in industry, this is in construction, this is in wood, and people spread out in works and produced.
Therefore, if you look at the countries now, you will find that when a country has a large population, it becomes awe-inspiring, even if it is not strong in terms of industry. This is because the number is terrifying to the enemy. So, what I call my Muslim brothers to is to strive to have many children.
Yes, if there is a need for it, such as if the woman is weak in body and cannot bear it, or is sick, or does not give birth except by operation, then this is a need, and needs have rulings.
