How to place the hands during standing, bowing, and prostration.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Where is the hand?
In the state of bowing, where is it?
The student: On the chest.

The Shaykh : In the state of bowing, on the chest, my brother?!
In the state of bowing, it is on the knees; in the state of prostration, it is on the ground; in the state of standing, the right hand is placed over the left hand, in the state of standing before bowing and after it, based on the statement of Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him):
The people were ordered to place the right hand on the left forearm in the prayer. كان الناس يؤمرون أن يضع الرجل يده اليمنى على ذراعه اليسرى في الصلاة
Sahih al-Bukhari 740
It was narrated by al-Bukhari.
Well, we said there is no difference between before bowing and after it. The aspect of evidence from this hadith is that his saying "in the prayer" encompasses all its parts. Bowing is excluded because the hands are on the knees, prostration is on the ground, and sitting is on the thighs. What remains is the standing before bowing and the standing after it, so the placement of the hands is on the chest.
