Patience with the painful decrees of Allah, and the division of Allah's decrees into two categories

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The third is patience with the painful decrees of Allah, because Allah's decrees are either painful or agreeable. The agreeable ones are those that suit nature and bring comfort, while the painful ones are those that do not suit nature and do not bring comfort. Is illness a painful decree? Yes. Poverty is a painful decree. Drought, the loss of wealth, and ruin are painful. But health, children, wives, and wealth are agreeable decrees. In reality, agreeable decrees also require patience, which is patience in giving thanks for blessings. However, the painful decrees are what we are focusing on here: patience with the painful decrees of Allah. A person is tested in this world, without doubt, and no one is exempt from trials in this world. The poet says:
"A day is against us and a day is for us *** A day we are humbled and a day we are exalted"
Think about yourself and reflect, O you, does this verse apply to you or not? Generally, it does apply. You find that a person is happy and at ease one day, and the opposite the next day, and the third day is like the first, and the fourth day is like the second, and so on. Whether it is one day, or after a day, or two days after two, or three after three, the point is that this world is never complete; there must be painful decrees. How do we accept these decrees? We meet them with patience. We must meet them with patience.
