Q: I hope you will kindly look into a poem titled (It Is the Decrees ), the text of which is:
What is your opinion of it, may Allah preserve you, from the perspective of Islamic law? And is it permissible to publish it in one of the school magazines distributed among elementary school students? Please issue a ruling, and may Allah reward you.
A : The speech mentioned in this poem is not permissible; because it attributes the actions of Allah to the divine decree, whereas it is obligatory to attribute matters to Allah, the Determiner of decrees, along with being pleased with His decree and destiny, and holding oneself accountable and repenting from sins; because they are what cause the punishments, as Allah the Exalted said:[Ash-Shuraa 42:30] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned
وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ
