The State of Contentment

The Shaykh : The third is contentment. This state is when a person does not feel pain, being in alignment with the divine decree and destiny. Whether the divine decree brings him what suits him or what causes him pain, it is all the same to him, because he is fully content with the decree. He does not feel pain; he says, "This is the decree of Allah, my Lord, and He does with me what He wills, so I am content." He does not feel pain, and it is as if what causes him pain suits him. Is this higher than patience or lower than patience? It is higher than patience.
