My father does not pray or fast, and I wanted to perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, but he prevented me. Is it permissible for me to disobey him and go to perform 'Umrah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : My father does not pray or fast, and I wanted to perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, but he prevented me. Is it permissible for me to disobey him and go to perform 'Umrah?

The Shaykh : First, this father who does not pray or fast has previously been declared an apostate who has turned away from Islam. He is not preventing you from 'Umrah, and knowledge belongs to Allah, but rather because of his need for you. However, those who do not want good do not want others to do it either. So I doubt that this father who prevented you from performing 'Umrah has a good intention. It appears that he only wants to prevent you from good. In that case, obedience to him is not obligatory, and you may travel and perform 'Umrah even if your father dislikes it.
