The ruling on breaking the fast for one who travels in Ramadan for 'Umrah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible for a Muslim to go for 'Umrah in Ramadan and break his fast during his journey, or is it better that he fasts and leaves the 'Umrah until after fasting?

Answer:
It is better to perform 'Umrah in Ramadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajjعمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 939Sahih (Darussalam)
'Umrah in Ramadan has a special status,
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajjعمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 939Sahih (Darussalam)
and in another narration:
A Hajj with meحجة معي
with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). This is a great virtue.
And if he travels, he has the choice; if he wishes, he may break his fast on the road, and if he wishes, he may fast. The matter is broad in this regard, and praise be to Allah. And if he is in Mecca, likewise, if his stay in Mecca is short, two days, or three, or four, he may break his fast, and he may fast.
As for if he stays for more than four days, he must fast in Mecca and not break his fast if he intends to stay in Mecca for more than four days. But if he intends to perform 'Umrah and return, or stay for one day, or two days, for example, or three, then he may break his fast, and he may fast; he has the choice.
