That the intended meaning is a threat accompanied by an example.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : That the intended meaning is a threat; this is what we said first. The example is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Allah has certainly heard the statement of those [Jews] who said, "Indeed, Allah is poor, while we are rich." لقد سمع الله قول الذين قالوا إن الله فقير ونحن أغنياء
[Ali 'Imran 3:181]
So what is the intended meaning of that? It is a threat. Allah threatens those who said this terrible statement, as evidenced by His saying:
We will record what they said and their killing of the prophets without right and will say, "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire. (182) That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants." سنكتب ما قالوا وقتلهم الأنبياء بغير حق ونقول ذوقوا عذاب الحريق ذلك بما قدمت أيديكم وأن الله ليس بظلام للعبيد
[Ali 'Imran 3:181-182]
