Among the benefits of the verse is the warning to the hypocrites.

The Shaykh : Among the benefits of this noble verse is the warning to these hypocrites, based on His saying:

Say, "Mock [as you wish]; indeed, Allah will expose that which you fear."

قل استهزئوا إن الله مخرج ما تحذرون

[At-Tawbah 9:64]

meaning that whatever you conceal, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) will reveal it. We seek refuge in Allah from public disgrace.
