The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "We will make you recite, so you will not forget. Except what Allah wills."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
(6) We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, (7) Except what Allah should will.
[Al-A'la 87:6-7]
"We will make you recite" — who is the one who makes him recite? Allah, Mighty and Majestic, makes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) recite through Jibril. Allah the Exalted said:
(16) Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. (17) Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. (18) So when We have
[Al-Qiyamah 75:16-18]
Who is the one who recites it? Jibril. But Allah attributed the recitation to Himself because Jibril is His messenger.
(18) So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. (19) Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].
[Al-Qiyamah 75:18-19]
And here He said:
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,
[Al-A'la 87:6]
except for what Allah wills
[Al-An'am 6:128]
This means, however, if Allah the Exalted wills to make you forget a verse of the Qur'an, Allah will make you forget it, as He said the Exalted:
We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it
[Al-Baqarah 2:106]
