Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Could the attributes of perfection be a defect? *** In whose mind is that, or in the Qur'an?"
The answer is here
The student: They are not

The Shaykh : They are not, neither by the indication of reason nor by the indication of revelation, to which the author referred in his saying: "or in the Qur'an"
"Perfection lies in the multitude of attributes, not *** in their negation; this is clear proof"
Yes, perfection is in the multitude of attributes. That is, the more complete one is, the more the attributes of perfection increase, the greater the perfection; and the fewer they are, the less the perfection. Therefore, we find that a man is more complete if he has knowledge of tafsir, hadith, 'aqidah, fiqh, mathematics, and so on, becoming more complete than one who has knowledge of only one discipline. Thus, the more attributes there are, the more complete the one possessing them becomes.
"Perfection lies in the multitude of attributes, not *** in their negation", meaning their denial. "This is clear proof"
