The Shaykh : Yes, Allah is the Knower. He also spoke to His servant Musa through direct address. Allah the Exalted said:
And Allah spoke to Moses directly
And before that, the parents said: Allah the Exalted said:
And their Lord called out to them وناداهما ربهما
Likewise, He spoke to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when he was raised up to the heavens. His words, (Glorified and Exalted is He), have no end and cannot be counted. Allah the Exalted said:
And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens
[Luqman 31:27]
that أن
This is a particle of affirmation that puts the subject in the accusative case and puts the predicate in the nominative case. And
not ما
means that even if the trees on earth were pens, and the seas were ink, and even if they were added to the seas, Allah’s word would not be exhausted.
and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas
[Luqman 31:27]
And they would write with these pens and with these seas, even if they were ink.
the words of Allah would not be exhausted
[Luqman 31:27]
Allah is the Greatest. Why? Because there is no end to His action, so there is no end to His speech. Whatever He wills, He says to it, “Be,” and it is. Is there an end to what Allah the Exalted wills? No. And Allah, (Mighty and Majestic), said:
Say, "If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement."
[Al-Kahf 18:109]
