Continuation of the Refutation of the Asha'irah Regarding the Division of the Actions of Allah

The Shaykh : This is the requirement of the proof, and it is only for the division of what has subsisted in the essence, meaning, or what has not subsisted. So the cause, or the division, is that the actions, that the attributes, are of two types:
Attributes that subsist in the essence of Allah and do not transcend it, and they are of two types: conceptual and active. So knowledge, power, hearing, and sight are conceptual, and descending, rising above the Throne, and coming are active. This is the locus of the division.
