When does a Muslim perform the Fajr sunnah if he missed it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : When does a Muslim perform the Fajr sunnah if he missed it?

The Shaykh : It is well known that women generally pray in their homes.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : In that case, the matter is in their hands. A woman should pray the Fajr sunnah before the Fajr prayer, but she may forget and end up praying the obligatory prayer before the voluntary one. In this situation, we say: if you wish, pray the rawatib after the obligatory prayer, or if you wish, delay it until the sun rises and is the height of a spear. However, if you fear forgetting it, it is better to pray it after the obligatory prayer. As for the man, he is the one who often fails to pray the Fajr rawatib because he comes to the mosque and finds the people praying the Fajr prayer, so he joins them. We say to him what we said to the woman: if you wish, pray the Fajr rawatib when you have finished the obligatory prayer, or if you wish, delay it until the sun is the height of a spear. And if you fear forgetting it or being preoccupied with it, it is better to pray it after the Fajr prayer. When we say "after the Fajr prayer," we mean after its prescribed dhikr. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
