The Meaning of the Poet’s Saying: “And if you wish to see the fates of those who passed *** from the community of denial and disbelief, and you see them as captives, their status lowly, *** their hands bound to their necks”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “A chapter on the fates of the deniers and those who negate the attributes, by the spears of the commanders of the affirmers who are monotheists”
He said: “And if you wish to see” “And if you wish to see” The intended meaning is “if you wish that you see.” This construction is permissible in the Arabic language, and among its examples is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning ومن آياته يريكم البرق
[Ar-Rum 30:24]
meaning “that He shows you.” That is, “We show you the lightning.” Here, “if you wish to see” means “that you see the fates of those who passed from the community of denial and disbelief.”
“And you see them as captives, their status lowly *** their hands bound to their necks”
“Asra” (captives) is the plural of “asir” (captive). “Their status lowly” means: they are not honored or respected.
