The Meaning of the Poet's Words: "And indeed they were afflicted in their hearts and in *** those minds with the utmost deficiency, so they brought forth words, if you grasp them, *** you would hear the laughter of a mocking madman"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
"And indeed they were afflicted in their hearts and in *** those minds with the utmost deficiency
so they brought forth words, if you grasp them, *** you would hear the laughter of a mocking madman"

"And indeed they were afflicted" means these people who deny the divine attributes were afflicted in their hearts and in their minds. In their hearts, because they did not wish to return to the Book and the Sunnah. And in their minds, because they thought that what they said was rational, whereas in reality it is delusional and has no truth. For this reason, he said:
"So they brought forth words, if you grasp them, *** you would hear the laughter of a mocking madman
This is the recompense of those who turn away from guidance, *** exchanging it for the ornaments of delusion"

Yes, the recompense of one who turns away from the Book of Allah is that his words become a source of laughter and mockery for people, who mock them and do not recognize their worth.
