"Chapter: On the origin of the enmity that exists between the affirming monotheists and the denying deniers of attributes
O my people, do you know the enmity between us *** For what reason in the days of old?
We aligned ourselves with the Qur'an and the *** authentic transmission that explains the Qur'an.
And likewise with clear reason and the innate *** disposition of the Merciful before the alteration of man.
These are four interrelated things, some of *** which have verified others on the scale.
And by Allah, these have never gathered for you *** as you have affirmed with your tongue,
When you said that sound reason contradicts the *** transmitted from reports and from the Qur'an.
So we prioritize the rational, then we divert the *** transmitted by interpretation of various colors.
So when we are unable to do so, then we cast it aside, *** We do not care about it, intending only to do good.
And you have predecessors in this whom you followed *** When they called for taking hold of the Qur'an.
They were stopped, and when they were struck, they swore *** That our purpose is the success of the One of grace.
And indeed, they were struck in their hearts and in *** Those minds with the utmost deficiency.
So they brought forth words, if you gather them, *** You would hear the laughter of a mocking madman.
This is the reward of those who turn away from guidance, *** Exchanging it for the ornaments of nonsense.
And strike for them an example with the Shaykh of the people, when *** He refuses to prostrate with the arrogance of one who transgresses.
then he was pleased to become a leader of the *** gates of sin and every one who disobeys
And so did the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah) say, how can this *** human bring the revelation and the Qur'an
then they were pleased to make their object of worship *** from these stones and idols
And likewise, the worshippers of the Cross protected *** Their women and young men with their cross.
And they came to the Lord of the highest heavens, *** Making for Him a son from among the males.
And likewise, the Jahmi made his Lord pure *** From His Throne, above the worlds.
out of fear of the confinement he imagines *** or that He be seen as localized in a place,
So he reduced Him to non-existence, and His existence *** Is not realized outside of minds.
But their predecessors said that the *** Essence was found in every place.
They placed Him in wells, filth, and *** Taverns, ruins, and open fields.
And the point is that you aligned yourselves with *** Opinions, which are full of nonsense.
So you changed colors with them, and you came *** Changing colors, wonders of the worlds.
And you presented the saying of the Messenger to what *** The Shaykhs said, a presentation of equal weight.
And you made their sayings the measure of what *** He said, and the saying is in the measure.
And you drank from the lower waters, and we were *** Not pleased with that drinking for the thirsty.
And you took the intentions of the path, and we *** Traveled in the greatest, sultan-like path.
And you made the shield of speech your shield, *** Woe to that shield in the hands of the attackers.
And you shot the people of Hadith with arrows *** From a bow, whose heart is cowardly.
So they took shelter with the Revelation and the Sunnahs, which *** Are recited; yes, what a shield for the brave.
It is their shield, and Allah is [a shield] from your aggression, *** And the shield on the Day of Resurrection is from the fires.
Will you leave it for your shirk and your impossibilities? *** No, that was not a favor from the Most Merciful.
And you called us to what you said, *** We said, refuge with Allah from abandonment.
So that war intensified between our group *** And your group, and the matters grew severe.
And that enmity took root between us *** From the day Allah commanded Satan
To prostrate, so he disobeyed and opposed His command *** With his analogy and his treacherous mind.
So the impudent students came and opposed *** His reports with filth and nonsense.
And one who opposes the command is like one who opposes the *** Reports; they are twins in their disbelief.
Whoever opposes the explicit text with reason, *** They have informed us, O people of knowledge.
Or what you know is the Qadari and the *** Jabri, that too is in the Qur'an
When He said, "You led me astray and tempted me *** I will make it attractive to them for as long as the ages last
So he argued with the decreed, then clarified that *** The act is from Him, a desire and adornment.
So look at their inheritance, this *** Shaykh by agnation and inheritance by shares.
So I ask you by Allah, who is his heir, *** From us or from you, after this clarification?
This is what cast the enmity between us *** At that time, and it has continued to the present.
You have a root and your opponent has a root ***, so when the two roots met,
The difference appeared, and the war between us *** Flared up, and the companions were called out.
Did you establish the opinions of men and guess at them *** Without proof or authority?
And how many opinions they have, so by the opinion of *** Whom do we weigh the texts? So clarify with explanation.
Each has an opinion and a reason for it, *** Calling and preventing the taking of so-and-so's opinion.
And the opponent is the foundation of the clear Qur'an, with *** The saying of the Messenger, the fitrah of the Most Merciful.
And he built upon it, so his building rose *** Toward the heavens, the greatest with this building.
And you built on the edge of a cliff, so the floods of *** Revelation and faith came.
It uprooted the foundation of your building, so those *** Roofs collapsed and the pillars fell.
Allah is the Greatest, if you had seen that building *** When it rose like smoke.
The gazes of those beneath it rise to it, *** And it is lowly, even if seen clearly.
So be patient for it, and here the side *** Will meet it nearby in the lowly valley.".
