(Clarifying the reality of the one who belittles the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)) Whoever says about the Most Merciful what the truth of the news and the Criterion have indicated, *** he is the one who likens [Allah to creation]

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) clarified the slander of the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and ta'til (denial of the divine attributes), where they accused the people of affirming [the attributes] and tawhid (the oneness of Allah) of belittling the Messenger. We said that this is a consistent pattern among the people of falsehood: they accuse the people of truth of what they themselves possess, and they are more deserving of it. Have you not seen the words of the hypocrites regarding the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions: They meant the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions. So, by Allah, who is more deserving of these descriptions? The hypocrites are the most lying of people with their tongues, the most greedy of people with their bellies, and the most cowardly of people when meeting [the enemy].
These people of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) also said to the people of the Sunnah, "You have belittled Allah; you made Him a body and likened Him to His creation, and you did so and so." We say, "Who is more deserving, us or you?" There is no doubt that whoever reflects on their path knows with certainty that they are the ones who belittled Allah, His Book, and His Messenger. Listen to the words of the author:
"Whoever says about the Most Merciful what the truth of the news and the Criterion have indicated,
he is the one who likens [Allah to creation]"
Who says this? The people of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes). The people of ta'til (denial of the divine attributes) say that whoever says about the Most Merciful what the truth of the news and the Criterion have indicated is the one who likens [Allah to creation].
"and the one who compares [Him to creation] and ascribes a body to Him, a worshipper of idols, not of the Most Merciful"
He says, "You are one who ascribes a body to Allah; you worship a body; you are one who likens [Allah to creation]; you do not worship Allah. Why? Because Allah is not described as being above [the Throne] and not described with any attribute. So any person who affirms for Him being above [the Throne] or any attribute is a worshipper of an idol. May Allah save us from that."

We have not seen like our reciters, these people, who are more greedy with their bellies, more lying with their tongues, and more cowardly when meeting [the enemy] than these.
