And by Allah, had it not been for that, his grave would have been exposed *** but they concealed it with walls, intending to raise the height of his chamber so that prostration to him on the foreheads would be prevented (meaning of raising the height)

The Shaykh : And for this reason, he said:
"And by Allah, had it not been for that, his grave would have been exposed *** but they concealed it with walls
Intending to raise the height" to the end of it
Meaning that he said that to warn his Ummah (the Muslim community) that they would not do what they did. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 1390
"And by Allah, had it not been for that, his grave would have been exposed *** but they concealed it with walls"
Who concealed it? The Companions, meaning they buried him in the same house. Also, there are reports (athar) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is buried where he passed away.
"Intending to raise the height of his chamber so that prostration to him on the foreheads would be prevented"
Raising the height of the chamber is the same as the grave; the grave is raised, no doubt, but the chamber is also raised. And what does "raised" mean? It means triangular, as we said, so that prostration to him on the foreheads would be prevented.
"Intending to align with the Messenger, and their aim was the purification of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) for the Most Merciful".
"And by Allah, had it not been for that, his grave would have been exposed *** but they concealed it with walls
Intending to raise the height" to the end of it
Meaning that he said that to warn his Ummah (the Muslim community) that they would not do what they did. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
And if that had not been the case, then the Prophet's grave would have been made prominent before the people. So (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) was afraid, or the people were afraid that his grave might be taken as a place for worship.
