Praying in a mosque near one's residence, and light rain falling during the Maghrib prayer that does not hinder people from going to the mosque, given that the road is paved

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says that he prayed in a mosque near his residence, and during the Maghrib prayer, light rain fell that did not hinder people from going to the mosque, given that the road is paved. The imam combined the Maghrib with the Isha, so I left the prayer with them and did not combine the Isha. Is there any sin on me for that? Please inform me, may Allah reward you, given that the imam did not announce that he would combine the Maghrib with the Isha?

The Shaykh : As for the second point, which is his statement: "Given that the imam did not announce that he would combine the Isha with the Maghrib?"
This does not cause harm. That is, it is not obligatory for the followers to intend the combination when entering the state of consecration for the Maghrib prayer. If the cause for the combination is present, the combination is permissible whether one intends it or not. Just as if travel occurs, it is permissible for a person to shorten the prayer whether he intends to shorten it or not, because the criterion is the presence of the cause.
As for the imam combining the prayers in light rain, perhaps he considers this rain to be a valid reason for the combination. If he considers it a valid reason for the combination, it is permissible for him to combine. And you have the right to combine with him, because combining with him achieves the benefit of the congregation. Unless you know that there are mosques that do not combine. In that case, we say: It is better not to combine with him as long as you believe that this excuse does not permit the combination because the rain is light. So, go out and pray in the other mosque that does not combine.
However, here we say: If you fear that there will be fitnah (trial or discord) if you go out, then pray with them and intend it as a voluntary prayer, and pray the Isha in its proper time in the other mosques.
