(Explaining that slackness is inevitable for the human being, and that this leads to deficiency) and the intermingling of periods with resolve is a necessity inherent in human nature, giving rise to deficiency

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And the intermingling of periods with resolve is a necessity inherent in human nature"
(may Allah have mercy on him), when he informed that from when he was young until now, he has continued to tighten his waist sash for the sake of the Most Merciful, he made an exception, saying that there are periods that befall a person and hinder him from his resolve. This is inherent in human nature; a person may be energetic at one time and lazy at another. This is something every person is afflicted with. He says:
"And deficiency arises from its periods*** or are we not all of the sons of deficiency?"
This means that when a person becomes slack, his knowledge must decrease, his understanding must decrease, and his religion must decrease if he becomes slack in the obedience of Allah. This is undoubtedly a deficiency, but we are all sons of deficiency.
