The ruling on the divorce of an angry person.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the legal ruling on divorce during anger, or divorce in a state of anger?

The Shaykh : He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no divorce in a state of being overwhelmed. لا طلاق في إغلاق
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 16:86
The term "coercion" has two meanings: compulsion and anger. Therefore, if a man divorces while being compelled, or if he divorces while angry, his divorce does not take effect. This is the correct opinion adopted by some of the Imams, including Ibn Taymiyyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah. Yes.
