What is the ruling on a woman using henna during her menstrual period?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on a woman using henna during her menstrual period, O honorable Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the Pious, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment:
It is permissible for a woman to use henna during her menstrual period, and there is no blame on her for doing so. Likewise, there is no blame on her and it is permissible for her to use it during her period of purity.
During her period of purity, it is known that if she applies henna to her head, it will form a substance that prevents direct wiping over the hair. This is permissible and does not cause harm, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would apply a thick layer of henna to his head while in the state of ihram, and he would wipe over it (peace and blessings be upon him).
However, it is obligatory for a woman, if she applies henna to her hands, for example, not to expose herself to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) by displaying this henna. This is because the means to fitnah are prohibited, just as fitnah itself, or that which leads to fitnah, is also prohibited.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
