Explaining the error of those who say that the disagreement among scholars is in the branches and not in the fundamentals, and that their disagreement regarding the definition of faith is the greatest evidence of this.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : That is because among the fundamentals, indeed the fundamental of fundamentals, is faith. [Allah] the Exalted said, "We believe in Allah and His angels..." to the end of it. So what does the Muslim say when he remembers with us that the scholars, both past and present, as Allah the Exalted said:
but they will not cease to differ. (119) Except whom your Lord has given mercy ولا يزالون مختلفين إلا ما رحم ربك
[Hud 11:118-119]
They are still differing regarding the definition of faith... They are still differing regarding the fundamental of faith. What is faith? There are two opinions among the scholars, both past and present. One of them says that faith is affirmation with the tongue and conviction with the heart, and there is nothing else there. The other opinion says, as the first opinion said, and adds: and action with the limbs.
