Does the deceased hear in his grave?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We mentioned that the Sunnah reports that the dead buried in the well of Badr hear, and that the deceased hears the striking of the sandals of his companions as they depart after his burial. Ibn al-Qayyim also mentioned in his book *Al-Ruh* (The Soul) that if a man passes by the grave of his brother, and he recognizes him in this world and greets him, the deceased returns the greeting. Ibn 'Abd al-Barr graded this as authentic, and Ibn al-Qayyim remained silent about it in his book *Al-Ruh*. So Allah knows best. Allah knows best. However, there is nothing preventing the dead from hearing, as many scholars have mentioned.
