The Shaykh : Among the characteristics of Friday is that in its Fajr prayer, Surat al-Hum al-Sajdah is recited in the first rak'ah and Surat al-Insan in the second, following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). What some ignorant imams do, where they divide Surat al-Hum al-Sajdah between the two rak'ahs, or limit themselves to half of it and recite half of Surat al-Insan, is an error. We say to this person: Either recite both surahs in their entirety, or recite another surah so that you do not contradict the Sunnah. Do you understand? There is a difference between one who recites two other surahs, in which case it is said that he missed the Sunnah, and one who recites Surat al-Hum al-Sajdah and divides it between the two rak'ahs, or recites half of it and half of Surat al-Insan. The latter contradicts the Sunnah. There is a difference between contradicting the Sunnah and not performing the Sunnah, because the former is more severe.
