Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is reciting Surat al-Sajdah and performing the prostration of recitation in the Fajr prayer on Friday part of the Sunnah? And should one persist in doing so if it is part of the Sunnah?

Answer:
Yes, it is a recommended practice (sunnah) to recite the chapter
Alif, Lam, Meem. The revelationالم ۝ تَنْزِيلُ
[al-Sajdah:1, 2] and
Has there come to manهَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ
[al-Insan:1] in the Fajr prayer on Friday. This is a recommended practice (sunnah). It was narrated by the two Shaykhs (al-Bukhari and Muslim) from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, and Muslim narrated it from the hadith of Ibn Abbas, and al-Tabarani narrated it from the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud. Ibn Mas'ud used to say that he would persist in doing this. So, the recommended practice (sunnah) is to persist in it. Yes.

Question: ... Does it suffice to recite part of the chapter?

Answer: No, he recites
Alif, Lam, Meem. The revelationالم ۝ تَنْزِيلُ
in the first unit and
Has there come to manهَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ
in the second unit. He does not cut it off. Just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did, he recites both chapters in full. This is the recommended practice (sunnah).
