What is the ruling on blood and nosebleeds, and do they invalidate the ablution? Are they impure?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. A questioner says: “Your Eminence, we ask you to clarify for us the ruling on blood or a nosebleed: is it impure or not?”

The Shaykh : And does it invalidate the ablution or not? Fine, nothing that comes out of the body invalidates the ablution except what comes out of the two passages, the front or the back. As for a nosebleed, vomiting, and the breaking open of wounds, none of this invalidates the ablution. This is because there is no evidence for this; there is no evidence that what comes out from other than the two passages invalidates the ablution. As long as there is no valid evidence, it is obligatory to leave the ablution as it is, because it is established by a legal proof. If it is established by a legal proof, it is not removed except by a legal proof. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And what do you have, O the trustworthy one? Yes.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : No, what comes out of the two passages is what invalidates the ablution, and anything other than that does not invalidate the ablution. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : As for the issue of impurity, a small amount of it is excused: the blood of a nosebleed, the blood of wounds, and the water of wounds as well. A small amount of this is excused. Some of the scholars say that there is no evidence for the impurity of the blood that comes out of the children of Adam, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The believer does not become impure المؤمن لا ينجس
And because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whatever is cut from an animal while it is alive, then it is dead flesh. ما قطع من البهيمة وهي حية فهو ميت
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1480Hasan (Darussalam)
And the scholars said: “What is cut from a living thing is like its carrion”. It is well known that the carrion of a human being is pure. If a person’s hand were cut off, the hand is pure, even though it is a part of him and a complete limb, so the blood is all the more so. But there is no doubt that the precaution is for a person to purify himself from the blood and wash it. As for a small amount, there is nothing wrong with it. Yes.
