The Story of the Prophet of Allah, Musa (peace be upon him), with Pharaoh and His People

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. We praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves and from the badness of our deeds.
As for what follows: We are in this night, the Tuesday night of the seventeenth of Ramadan, 1416.
We continue our meetings with our brothers in the Prophet’s Mosque, and this meeting will include speaking about some of the verses we heard in the standing night prayer, as well as matters related to the last ten nights.
As for the verses, we heard the story of Musa with Pharaoh and what was the outcome for Musa and the outcome for Pharaoh. The outcome for Musa and his people was that Allah the Exalted made them inherit the dwellings of the family of Pharaoh. The outcome for the family of Pharaoh was that Allah drove them out of gardens, springs, crops, a noble station, and a blessing in which they were enjoying themselves, and He drowned them all. Through this, we know that the soldiers of Allah the Exalted are the victors, and that the outcome must be for them, no matter what harm or injustice befalls them. The outcome is for the awliya (close friends of Allah), Mighty and Majestic.
Allah the Exalted said:
(51) Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand - (52) The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home.
[Ghafir 40:51-52]
.
The end of Pharaoh, who was arrogant toward the Children of Israel, who used to kill their sons and keep their women alive, and who said to his people:
Or am I [not] better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear?
[Az-Zukhruf 43:52]
. And who said to them:
O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?
[Az-Zukhruf 43:51]
This stubborn, arrogant, tyrannical man’s outcome was that he said:
I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims." آمنت أنه لا إله إلا الذي آمنت به بنو إسرائيل وأنا من المسلمين
[Yunus 10:90]
He reached this humiliation without saying, "I believe in Allah." He said, "I believe in the One in whom the Children of Israel believe." And who is the One in whom the Children of Israel believe? Allah. But he declared in this form that he was a follower of the Children of Israel.
"I believe that there is no god but the One in whom the Children of Israel believe." So now, what is he? A follower of the Children of Israel. And this is the height of humiliation, while he was killing them, slaughtering their sons, and keeping their women alive for the word of sincerity and tawhid (the oneness of Allah). Now he has become their follower. But it was said to him:
Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters?
[Yunus 10:91]
"Is it now? Is it now that you believe in the One in whom the Children of Israel believe?
And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters?
[Yunus 10:91]
His faith did not benefit him because he did not believe except when his death approached him.
