Tafsir of Surat al-Duha.
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and from the evil of our deeds. Whom Allah guides, none can misguide, and whom He leaves to misguide, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, His intimate friend and His trustee over His revelation. Allah sent him with guidance and the religion of truth, so he conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the nation, and struggled in the cause of Allah with true struggle. He was afflicted for the sake of Allah and was patient, just as the resolute among the messengers were patient (peace and blessings be upon them). May the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows, in accordance with our custom of discussing what we have heard from the recitation of our imam in the Maghrib prayer, we will speak about what we ask Allah the Exalted to open up for us in what we have heard. Our imam recited two surahs, both of which relate to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The first is al-Duha, and the second is "Alam Nashrah Laka Sadrak." Good.
