What is the ruling on a woman cutting her hair?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says.

The Shaykh : There is no questioner, rather it is a woman who took two, yes.

The questioner : This is a woman asking, and she says that she cuts the hair of the forelock on the forehead only, and she ties it up as adornment for her husband, and she intends the adornment for her husband, and she does not intend to imitate men or disbelieving women. Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : The scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) mentioned that a woman cutting her hair is disliked absolutely, and others mentioned that it is forbidden, and the woman sins by it absolutely. And a group distinguished, saying that if she cuts it until it becomes like a man's head or like the heads of disbelieving women, then it is forbidden. As for the first, it is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
cursed women who imitate men لعن المتشبهات من النساء بالرجال
Sunan Abi Dawud 4097Sahih (Al-Albani)
And as for the second, it is because of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who copies any people is one of them. من تشبه بقوم فهو منهم
Sunan Abi Dawud 4031Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
There is no difference between a woman intending to imitate or not; if the resemblance occurs, the ruling is established, whether with intention or without intention. And these scholars said that if she cuts it in a way that does not resemble the cutting of disbelieving women or the cutting of men, then there is no harm in it. And this is closer to the truth. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
