Ruling on Women Cutting Their Hair

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
May Allah preserve you, O honorable Shaykh, what is the ruling on women cutting their hair?
If a woman cuts her hair until it becomes like a man's head,Meaning: cutting it so severely that it resembles men's heads, then it is forbidden for her; indeed, it is one of the major sins. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed women who imitate men. Likewise, if she cuts it until it resembles the heads of disbelieving women, it is forbidden for her, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." As for cutting that does not result in either of these outcomes, the scholars differed on it with three opinions: The first opinion is that it is forbidden.

The second opinion: The second opinion is that it is disliked.

And the third: The third opinion is that it is permissible.
The scrupulous course is for a woman not to cut any of the hair on her head, but rather to leave it as it is.
