Urging Sincere Repentance

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : O my Muslim brother, no person is free from falling short. No person is free from error. We seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him. Repent to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Turn away from sins. Replace them with acts of obedience. Maintain the acts of obedience. Do not neglect them, and be glad of good. The door of repentance is open until two conditions: The first condition: When the term of life arrives, there is no repentance. The second condition: When the sun rises from the west, which is at the end of the world, there is no repentance. Allah the Exalted said, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," وليست التوبة للذين يعملون السيئات حتى إذا حضر أحدهم الموت قال إني تبت الآن
[An-Nisa 4:18]
. This is the case where there is no repentance. The story of Pharaoh indicates this. When Pharaoh was overtaken by drowning, he believed, but his belief did not benefit him. Why? Yes.
The student: Because he reached his death.

The Shaykh : Yes, because he reached death. For this reason, it was said to him:
Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters? آلئن وقد عصيت قبل وكنت من المفسدين
[Yunus 10:91]
. Likewise, when the sun rises from the west, the people will all believe when they see it. But Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting." يوم يأتي بعض آيات ربك لا ينفع نفسا إيمانها لم تكن آمنت من قبل أو كسبت في إيمانها خير قل انتظروا إنا منتظرون
[Al-An'am 6:158]
