Speaking about gradualism in calling people to Allah.

The Shaykh : However, we do not agree with some Islamic movements in every action they take, because sometimes they act in a manner that contradicts wisdom, contradicts the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and contradicts what the Islamic Shari'ah brought regarding development and gradualism. Some of our zealous brothers want conditions to change overnight from the worst to the best, and this is undoubtedly an error, because the Sunnah of Allah in the universe is one. If the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) remained in Makkah for thirteen years calling people, with revelation descending upon him, and the country was not affected, nor did it change from a land of disbelief to a land of Islam, but rather the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left this land in hiding, fearing for his life, so the country did not change overnight despite the revelation descending upon the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and His support and victory for him, how much more so is our situation today? Therefore, we see that Islamic movements in countries that fight these movements should be cautious, be patient, and enter houses through their doors, not through their backs, and should try as much as possible to gather people to them one by one. It is well known that societies are made up of individuals, and those in charge of societies are individuals from among these individuals. If the individuals become righteous, it is easy to eliminate corruption. But as for confrontation and the desire to change from the worst state to the best state, what is the distance between the worst state and the best state? There are great distances between them. We have bad and good; people move from the worst to the bad, from the bad to the good, and from the good to the best. But to jump from the worst to the best in one leap, this is contrary to the Sunnah of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). What we advise our brothers is to call to Allah with insight, with knowledge, and according to the methodology of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and to enter houses through their doors, and not to move with violence and confrontation against those they cannot handle today, but rather to do so with caution and calmness until the objective is achieved. We ask Allah to support His religion in every place.
