The Shaykh : And they were enemies to them, disavowing them.
when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship], (167) Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." إذ تبرّأ الذين اتّبعوا من الذين اتّبعوا ورأوا العذاب وتقطّعت بهم الأسباب وقال الذين اتبعوا لو أن لنا كرة فتبرّأ منهم كما تبرّؤوا منّا
[Al-Baqarah 2:166-167]
Look, on the Day of Resurrection, these followers will wish to have a return to worldly life in order to disavow these people, just as these people disavowed them in the Hereafter. Allah the Exalted said:
Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire. كذلك يريهم الله أعمالهم حسرات عليهم وما هم بخارجين من النار
[Al-Baqarah 2:167]
Because whoever associates partners with Allah
Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. فقد حرّم الله عليه الجنة ومأواه النار وما للظالمين من أنصار
[Al-Ma'idah 5:72]
I advise these people from this place on this night to fear Allah the Exalted in themselves. And if there are students of knowledge among them, I advise the students of knowledge to clarify to them their error and their misguidance, and that they are deviating from the path of Allah by which He guided whomever He willed of His servants. For it is obligatory for students of knowledge to clarify to people what was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). We ask Allah for us and for you pure tawhid (the oneness of Allah), and that He cause us and you to die upon faith, and that He protect us from the evil of our own selves and the badness of our deeds. Indeed, He is Generous and Bountiful. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. Perhaps we will limit ourselves to this sentence tonight so that we can immediately move on to the questions, if there are any questions. Some people said to us, "We would like to hear our questions so that we may benefit."
The student: The questions are in bags.

The Shaykh : What? The questions are in bags?!
The student: Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Make this the first question.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Come on, give us the questions. Make this one the first; write it down, give him a piece of paper.
