Continuation of the Shaykh's remarks on the hadith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : ... those who think they are among the people of knowledge are far from this understanding, so what shall we say about the masses of Muslims? As for the second narration, it is very clear and every person understands it. They said: Who are the strangers, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: They are a few righteous people among many people, and those who disobey them are more than those who obey them those who disobey them are more than those who obey them. This is a very clear matter.
You, Muhammad, did not greet us. May Allah be pleased with you. When you want to enter the gathering, you should say, "Peace be upon you" ...

The Shaykh : No, he is not speaking, because when the Companions entered upon the Messenger while he was praying, they used to say to him, "Peace be upon you," while he was praying. We are not praying; we are talking and joking. So you must, if you enter the gathering again, if Allah wills, you must say, "Peace be upon you." And then it is not just that you hear yourself, especially since your voice is soft like your speech. No, you must make the people present hear you and say, "Peace be upon you."

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : I did not understand it. Is it permissible to understand it later? But it is explicitly stated. But by analogy, so that we can see what comes out of us, does it make clear what you intended or not? He (peace be upon him) said:
When one of you enters the gathering, let him greet, and when he exits, let him greet, for the first is not more deserving than the second. إذا دخل أحدكم المجلس فليسلم وإذا خرج فليسلم, فليست الأولى بأحق من الأخرى
meaning by analogy, this is it, praise be to Allah.

The questioner : ... you entered or you left...

The Shaykh : Yes, but you said Abu Muhammad before Muhammad.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : No, upon leaving. This is one of the benefits of repeating gatherings, so that we remind one another.

The questioner:.....

The Shaykh : This is because he lives in this atmosphere. Please, go ahead.
