The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "That is because those who disbelieved followed falsehood, while those who believed followed the truth from their Lord."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And the second verse after this,
That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord ذلك بأن الذين كفروا اتبعوا الباطل وأن الذين آمنوا اتبعوا الحق من ربهم
[Muhammad 47:3]
, this verse explains the reason for what came before it. So whoever follows falsehood, may Allah protect us from it, will experience misguidance to the extent of the falsehood he follows. So whoever disobeys Allah has followed falsehood; his faith is diminished to the extent of his disobedience, and his guidance is diminished to the extent of his disobedience. For if following the truth is a cause for good, then following falsehood is a cause for evil.
That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus ذلك بأن الذين كفروا اتبعوا الباطل وأن الذين آمنوا اتبعوا الحق من ربهم كذلك
[Muhammad 47:3]
That is, like this clarification and explanation, Allah strikes examples for the people.
