The Meaning of Allah the Exalted's Saying: "And the Star"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says:
By the star when it descends, والنجم إذا هوى
[An-Najm 53:1]
This sentence is an oath sentence. Is its form the letter waw, ba, or ta?
The student: Waw.

The Shaykh : Waw. The letter most commonly used for oaths is waw. One also swears by ta, as in Allah the Exalted's saying:
And [I swear] by Allah, I will surely plan against your idols وتالله لأكيدن أصنامكم
[Al-Anbya 21:57]
"Wa-tallaha" means "By Allah." One also frequently swears by ba, as in Allah the Exalted's saying:
And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم
[Al-An'am 6:109]
Allah the Exalted says:
By the star when it descends, والنجم إذا هوى
[An-Najm 53:1]
Allah the Exalted swore by the star when it descends. What is meant by the star? Is it a specific star or is it general? The correct view is that it is general. It was said that it is the Pleiades, which are the gathered stars known by many people, but the correct view is that it is general.
