Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : A man died leaving a son and two daughters, and before the estate was divided, one of the daughters died leaving a son and a daughter. How is the estate divided?

The Shaykh : The first one died leaving whom?

The questioner : A son and two daughters.

The Shaykh : His wealth is divided into four parts: the son gets two shares, and each daughter gets one share. When one of the daughters died leaving a daughter and a son, her wealth is divided into three parts: the son gets two, and the daughter gets one. Based on this, we say that the second deceased’s estate is based on three, and the first deceased’s estate is based on four. Multiply three by four to get twelve, which is the common denominator. How much does the son get from the first estate? The son gets six from the first estate, the daughter gets three, and the children of the second daughter who died get three.
The student: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And peace be upon you. Well, this is one of the competition questions. Come on, give it to us.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. The questioner says, I got married...

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : It is in the recording, go back to it. Yes.
